Happy Hands Classes

Education for a pre-kindergarten age student should encompass many experiences. Our learning will utilize music, arts, and literature. At Happy Hands we will sing, play, paint, color, read, and learn sign language. Class size will stay small (10 children max) to ensure I can give more one on one attention to each child.

We ask that the children be 3 1/2 or 4 years old and completely potty trained to attend class.

Tuition

** Tuition is $65.00 monthly, due by the 5th of each month. There will be a $25.00 start up fee at the start of each semester to cover snacks and crafts.

** Our class schedule will follow the calendar of Safford Public Schools. The tuition will remain the same each month as long as we follow the Safford School's schedule. If I shorten the month due to my own illness or some other need, I will reduce the tuition for that month. If your child is ill or you are out of town, I will be happy to send home worksheets or activities to help your child stay current with the class, but tuition will not be reduced.

Class Hours

CLASS WILL START AUGUST 17TH
(week after Safford School starts)

Classes will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays from
9:00am t0 12:00pm.

Classes will be held in my home, on Doyle Cluff Parkway, out across the river.

Helping Your Child Grow

My goal is to help each child be ready for the kindergarten experience. Readiness is not only knowing their ABC's or numbers, it includes being excited to learn and being able to handle new learning situations. I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year.

Look at what our HANDS can do!

Here are some fun ornaments we made with our hands this week. The kids has so much fun making them and are so proud and excited to hang them on the tree. (yes I did help a little with the snowmen faces, remember they are only 4!)
Today we had the parents come and we sang our Christmas songs to them. The children only had 3 weeks to learn the songs and they were amazing! They are so smart and such fast learners. After we had milk and cookies. We decided Santa shouldn't be the only one who gets to eat them! :) The children did a wonderful job I am so proud of them!!

Run run as fast as you can...

...YOU CAN'T CATCH ME I'M THE GINGERBREAD MAN !!!
This week we were learning about the letter "C". We read a story about a Christmas Cookie "The Gingerbread Man" who gets made by hand in a gingerbread pan. Before the Old Woman can eat him he runs away. He runs away from the Old Woman, the Old Man, the pig, the cow, but not from the fox who eats him up. We made some gingerbread men of our own to put in the oven. (Kids are so much fun, they never noticed that the gingerbread cookies
were already baked and that the oven was cold!) When we went to get them out of the oven they were gone!!! We had no idea how they could have gotten out of the oven and ran out the door???We had to run as fast as we could to find all the clues. Each time we found a clue there was a task we had to do, sing, count, or hop on one foot.
We finally caught the gingerbread men right before they were about to drive off in the car!! This time we got to eat them not the fox :)

U for Umbrella

Just a really fun game we played with the letter "U". I made up a poem "10 Colorful Umbrellas".Then matched the umbrella with the right colored handle. The kids did awesome with this game!

Halloween Party!

We had so much fun dressing up! The kids got a kick out of my green hair! Later we made some Yummy Mummy Pizzas! The kids were great Chefs and even better eaters! They had a blast being creative cooks.

October Fun!

We had so many fun activities in October. We made black cats to along with our song "3 Black Cats". A few of us even got to visit the pumpkin patch and pick out our own pumpkins. It was p
retty stormy that day but we still had fun! The children loved playing with the orange play-doh we made. They made all kinds of Halloween shapes!

Letter "X" Marks the Spot

Our letter this week was X. We made our own treasure maps and went on a real treasure hunt searching for our letter X. We sang "Going on a treasure hunt looking for an x, we can't find it what comes next? Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me. Yo ho yo ho an X we want to see."
After we followed our map and found all the clues we found our treasure. Inside the treasure box were some funny glasses we were hoping they would give us X-ray vision!

Down on the Farm!

In September we learned about farms. The children loved grooming and riding the miniature horse! They also loved the
"I Am The Farmer" game. It really helped them to learn all the farm animals and the sounds they make.
